Finca La Anita wines are the spirit and soul of their terroir. Extraordinary wines to drink and age.
Finca la Anita Sauvignon Blanc is vinified from grapes at the Finca in Alto Agrelo, Argentina. These old vineyards are located at 900 meters above sea level and have a naturally low yield (4 to 5 t / ha). Surface irrigation.
The climate was dry (rainfall 20-60% lower than usual), producing small berries and slightly lower yields. Temperatures were colder overall. The 2019 harvest was carried out approximately 1 to 3 weeks earlier than usual with grapes in perfect condition and without botrytis or mildew.
Once harvested, the grapes remain for 48 hours in a cold chamber. Then the juice is separated by soft press and left with the lees for 16 hours at under 8 degrees. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 20 days at controlled temperatures around 16 °C. No malolactic fermentation. The wine is preserved on fine lees and periodically stirred for 2 months.
